Tondo — Italian for “round” — is an entirely appropriate name for this distinctive BVLGARI collection. The highly polished circular steel frame provides a contemporary contrast to the central 18k yellow-gold sun, its wonderfully fluid rays pavé-set with round brilliant-cut diamonds. The lower edge of the medallion is prominently engraved BVLGARI, giving the piece that unmistakable Roman-house aesthetic.
The diamonds are assessed as approximately F–G colour and VVS clarity, creating an exceptionally bright contrast against the rich yellow gold. Based on the individual stone sizes supplied and examination of the setting, we estimate the total diamond weight at approximately 0.80ct.
